Library Books
Could ALL school library books be returned to school by Friday July 7th.
Once returned the books will be checked for damage and cleaned ready for next year. If any of you have a few hours to spare their help to clean the books - please tell the office as soon as possible.

Hayley getting married
Miss Hayley Attwood is getting married during the holiday and will return to school as Mrs Smith in September. We all wish her and Mr Smith many congratulations.

SmartWater
The Council have provided the school with SmartWater, a special coded paint for marking valuable items eg computers etc. It has been applied to all portable equipment in school making it traceable if stolen. Stickers and posters will be put up around school to deter thieves from even bothering to break in.

Heat Wave
During this very hot weather please remember to send your child into school with a hat and a bottle of water. Also remember sun cream if necessary.
They will all need water bottles on Sports Day ( Thursday 6th July).

The Reading Mission
During the summer why not visit Hucclecote Library and join the Reading Mission. Children will be given a Mission Pack with puzzles to solve and codes to crack, all designed to make reading fun! There is a website with more information: www.readingmission.org.uk
There will also be special activities on the same theme for the children every Tuesday morning.

French Group Worship
Mrs Hughes' French Groups will be leading Worship on Friday 14th July at 9.05 am. Parents of the children involved are welcome to attend.

School Entrance
Now that the school gates are closed from 8.30 am this does not mean parents can use the entrance to turn in and drop off children. The pedestrian gate is very small and is forming a bottleneck which means parents and children are having to stand in the road by the gates - please DO NOT put lives at risk!
The Infant and Junior schools are having discussions regarding a proposal for a second gate which would ease the congestion.
